MAINE METRO U-13 BOYS
WIN THE 17th ANNUAL HOLLISTON MEMORIAL DAY TOURNAMENT IN MASSACHUSETTS!
Maine Metro's U-13 boys played outstanding soccer
this past weekend winning the 17th. Annual Holliston Memorial Day Tournament in Holliston
Massachusetts (May 26th. through the 28th.). The Metro boys won 4-2 in the finals
against an experienced Bayside New York team. Bayside has been playing together as a
team for six years, and had their unbeaten record broken by a very skilled, talented, and
aggressive Metro team. This was by far our best game all year. Our entire team
came to play and it showed. We played an unbelievable game, executing extremely well
and simply played like champions. Our goalkeeper Tim Matassa received the game ball from
the head referee following the final whistle.

SEMI-FINALS AT HOLLISTON MEMORIAL DAY TOURNAMENT.
Our Maine Metro girls advanced to the semi-finals on Monday in Holliston Massachusetts.
We lost 3-1 in the semi finals to Larchmont
NY. The team played extremely well with excellent passing and positional play
throughout the tournament. For a young, first year team, we played with a lot of poise,
and created problems for the more experienced teams we played. Overall team results
far exceeded club expectations.
