MAINE METRO F.C. PREMIER TEAMS

 

The following are the rules for the Maine Metro F.C. 2010 Winter Indoor

 7 v. 7 Soccer Tournament.

1.   Players:

All Divisions will play 7 v. 7

2.  Games:

All games are 25 minutes of running clock. Games will start promptly and teams must get off the field immediately when finished. Please review the scheduled to be sure you’re aware of the time for your games.  If you’re not familiar with the area, please remain in the building as all games will run consecutively regardless of scheduled times.

3.  Substitution:

      Unlimited and on the fly. Player substituted for must be out of the play.

4.  Equipment:

      Players must wear shin guards, indoor soccer shoes or cleats.

5.  Off-sides and tackles:

The offside rule will not be used. Slide tackles are not allowed and will result in an indirect kick for the opposing team at point of infraction.

6.  Goal kicks and goalie passes:

      The ball must touch the defensive half of the field before going into the offensive half of the field. Rule also applies when goalie is throwing the ball. The goalie becomes a field player outside the box. No punting or drop kicks are allowed. A violation of this rule results in an indirect kick from anywhere on the midfield line for the other team.

7.  Free Kicks:

      All free kicks will be indirect except penalty kicks (taken from outside the 15 yd line. All free kicks must have 10’ clearance.

8.  Corner Kicks:

      As per FIFA.

 

9.     Goalie play:

Goalie may not touch the ball with his hands on kick backs.

10.  Field of play:

       If the ball hits the lights, side netting, wires, or ceiling, a free kick will be awarded to the other team

11.   Injury Time:

Time is a running clock.

12.   Team field Position:

        All team coaches and players on “stands” side of field.

No Spectators/siblings will be allowed on the turf.

13.   Conduct: Coaches are responsible for their own conduct as well as the conduct of their players and spectators. Red cards: must sit minimum 1 game.

14.  Grace periods: There will be none or at the discretion of the tournament director.

15.   Standings: W= 3 pts, T= 1 pt, L= 0 pt

16.   Tie Breakers: will be in this order:

1) Head to Head

2) Goal Differential (4 goals maximum per game)

Example: 15-0 => +4

5-1 => +4

2-4 => -2

3) Fewest Goals Given Up

4) FIFA Penalty Kick Rules will apply

Three-way ties are resolved at Tie Breaker #2, with second place again starting with Tie Breaker #2

General Notes:

Maine Metro FC reserves the right to impose sanctions and or penalties for harassment of officials and tournament staff by coaches, players or spectators. Penalties will include removal of offending party from the field and or complex. NO appeals will be heard.

NO protests will be heard.

NO Pets are allowed.

NO SMOKING in the building.

NO outside Food permitted. Individual water bottles or drinks are permitted.

NO Snacks on the field.

You must clean up your area after each game.

NO alcoholic beverages on property.

Arrive 40 Minutes before your first game to check-in, unless you have the first game of the day. 30 minutes will be satisfactory.

In the event of a color conflict, the home team will change (listed first on schedule). Bring two sets of jerseys.
