TRYOUTS


Below are all the player fees for our premier, training, and academy programs.

Player Fees for all Maine Metro FC premier teams include the following for the 8 month season:

PREMIER TEAMS

  • Player development (12 week foot skills program)

  • Speed and agility trainer Fees

  • Goalkeeper training

  • One winter tournament

  • Three spring tournaments

  • Soccer Maine player registration fees

  • Soccer Maine state cup registration fees

  • Soccer Maine out-of-state travel fees

  • Indoor practice facility charge

  • Indoor league registration fee

  • NESL league registration and referee fees

  • Team equipment charges (optional based on team needs)

  • Field rental charge

  • First aid fees

  • Club administration charge

  • Coaches travel fee

  • Coaches fees

Premier Fees for our U-12 through U-17 Boys and Girls = $975 (less any team subsidies or sponsorship) + Uniform

Uniform cost will depend on equipment needs and will average $220 - $235 for an adult kit, and $215 - $220 for a youth kit.

The above cost are based on 18 registered players per team.  The cost per player may be more for teams with less than 18 players.

Note: Expenses for premier travel to tournaments are not included in the above cost assumptions.  Hotel and travel costs can be expensive.  Parents should take these into consideration before committing to play at this level.

TRAINING PLAYERS

Training or Pool Player Fees = $675 + uniform (i.e. training with their age group teams for 5 months).  Players may train for longer periods at a rate of $35 per month for each additional month. Uniform cost for training players are limited to Practice jersey, shorts, and socks - each training player may purchase additional equipment if needed.

ACADEMY TEAMS (U-10 and U-11 Boys and Girls)

Player Fees for all Maine Metro FC Academy teams (U-10 and U-11 Boys and Girls include the following for the seven month season:

  • Player development (12 week foot skills program)

  • One winter tournament

  • One spring tournament

  • Indoor practice facility charge

  • Indoor league registration fee

  • Team equipment charges (optional based on team needs)

  • First Aid fees

  • Club administration charge

  • Coaches fees

Academy Fees  = $675 with Uniform (Practice shirt, shorts, and socks)

Discounts Are Available:

  • Camp Subsidy: All MMFC players receive a camp subsidy for all players attending our summer camp.

  • Player Fee Subsidy: All MMFC players who participate in MMFC camps will receive club subsidies towards their player fees.  The amount of each subsidy will be the profits from the camp divided equally between all participating MMFC players.

  • Scholarship/player fee assistance - players may apply for MMFC scholarships (contact the MMFC administration office for an application form - players or parents may be asked to volunteer for club activities and events as part of the assistance provided. Click here for application. (Please note, no additional scholarship award are available for the 2008-2009 season)

  • Team administrator discounts

  • adidas equipment discounts are available for all MMFC players - including discount vouchers for cleats (beginning October 2009).

  • Club fundraising for all teams begin in September each year.
