Todd Dominski

Todd
holds a United States Soccer Federation National D License as well as a
Maine State Coaching Certificate. He played
varsity soccer for the University of Southern Maine. He is
currently the coach of the
MMFC U13 girl’s
team.
Todd holds a B.A. in Criminology and has
a minor in sociology from the University of Southern
Maine. Currently, he works for East Brown Cow Management
Inc, a property management company in Portland, Maine. |
Todd Dominski is
originally from Hebron, Connecticut and now resides in Windham, Maine
with his wife and daughter.
This will be Todd’s forth year of coaching
with Maine Metro FC. Before coaching for Maine Metro FC Todd was an
assistant coach for the Deering Girl’s Varsity Team.
Todd is a former high
school state champion and a gold medalist in the Connecticut Nutmeg
Games. He has played for various clubs in the state of Connecticut as
well.
Todd was a varsity
soccer player for the University of Southern Maine for three years.
While playing at the University of Southern Maine he was recognized as a
scholar athlete. Todd continues to play soccer today. He plans on
working toward receiving his USSF C License in the future.

Josh Needle

Josh has his national USSF
class C
license. He will be seeking his B license
next winter 2009. Josh also has his CPR and First Aid certifications.
He played his college soccer at the State University of New York
at Potsdam, which is part of the SUNYAC conference.
Josh is from Albany, New York. He played soccer for most of his
life at various levels.
|
After college, he began playing on an adult travel team for three years
in Buffalo and Albany New York. He is currently playing in the Southern
Maine Soccer League.
Josh's coaching career began in the fall of 2002 when he assisted with
the U-12 Scarborough boys. He also co-coached the U-12 girls in the
spring of 2003. In the fall of 2003, he coached the 7th
grade Scarborough girls and continued with them through the 8th
grade year. He coached the Scarborough Freshman girls and was the
Varsity assistant for three years. Finally, Josh is in his fifth season
as a premier coach. He coached the Maine Metro U-12 girls for two
years, the U-13 girls and the U-14 girls each for one season and is
currently coaching the U-15 girls as well as the assistant for the 1991
Olympic Development Program boys team. He has taken his premier teams
to tournaments in Needham Mass., Oakwood and Glastonbury CT.,
Philadelphia Pa, Manchester NH, Bowdoin College ME, Virginia Beach and
The Holland Cup in Holland and Germany.
Josh
has been a 5th grade school teacher at Wentworth Intermediate
School in Scarborough Maine for the last seven years. |
Ryan Hayes

Class D License) |

Ryan currently holds a United States Soccer Federation Class ‘D’
National License, and will be going for his National ‘C’ license in the
upcoming year. He played college soccer at the
University of Maine at Farmington.
He
is in
his fourth season of coaching with Maine Metro F.C.
He is the son of Walter and Bernadette Hayes of Westbrook, Maine.

Ryan has played soccer
at various levels for most of his life. While growing up in Westbrook,
Ryan played on numerous travel, school, and select teams.
In addition to playing Varsity
soccer in college, Ryan also refereed for the local youth/travel
leagues, and coached the 8th grade boys basketball team at
Mt. Blue Junior High School, taking them to a State Championship in
1994.
While with Maine Metro
F.C., Ryan’s teams have enjoyed a great deal of success, one highlight
being winning the State Championship in 2005.
Ryan is employed by
UnumProvident Corporation. He currently lives in Portland, but is
building a house in Westbrook with his wife Kristin.

Jim
Hopkins currently holds a USSF A license.
Jim played four years
varsity soccer player at the University of Southern Maine where he
captained the team for three of the four years and was a Little East All
Conference Midfielder in his Senior Season.

Jim
is returning for his third season at Maine
Metro Soccer Club. Jim is currently coaching the U-12 boy’s team,
the U-17 boy’s team, and also performing as the Director of Coaching for
Maine Metro FC.
Jim is
currently an assistant coach at the University of Southern Maine Men’s
Program in the fall months.
Previously, Jim spent
five years at Deering High School in Portland, Maine as the Head coach
of Girls Varsity soccer team. Last year as first year coaching
director of the Club Jim started a Under Eleven developmental team, had
Maine Metro’s first official summer camp, and hosted Metro’s first
February soccer tournament.

Brian
Cooke

Brian
currently holds a
USSF
National Class D license. He
is from
Montego Bay, Jamaica. He played on the Jamaica junior national soccer
team at the 1973 and 1974 CONCACAF Tournaments.
Brian received the
University of Southern Maine's Silver Anniversary Award - September 29,
2001 in recognition of his outstanding athletic accomplishments at the
University.

Brian Cooke is
currently the head coach for the U-13 Boys
team.
He is the President and founder of Maine Metro F.C. He is a former
player of the University of Southern Maine (USM). He went to USM in
1974 on a soccer scholarship (USM won NAIA Division 3 state and New
England championships in 1975 and 1976 respectively). He was selected
for the NSCAA All-American Team in 1976, NAIA All-American Team in 1976
and 1977. He was all state and all state and all New England 1974
through 1977. He scored both goals in USM’s 2-1 victory over Western
New England College, sending USM to their first NAIA National
Championships in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California 1976. He was
inducted into the University of Southern Maine’s Sports Hall of Fame in
March 1988.
Prior to playing for
the University of Southern Maine, he played at Cornwall College High
School in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and played two years for Los Perfectos
and Violet Kickers Division 1 club teams in Jamaica while playing in
High School. He acquired his USSF D coaching license in 1999.
After playing for
the University of Southern Maine, he played, semi-professional in the
Massachusetts A league for Acropolis Soccer Club, and local Greater
Portland men's league teams (Budweiser Kings, and Acorn Kings), indoor
and outdoor.

Coulston

Mark hold a
U.S.S.F. “D” license and is a lifelong
resident of Scarborough, Maine.
Mark started his coaching career as
the Scarborough Boy’s Junior Varsity Coach under Coach Dick Plummer. He
assisted Coach Plummer for three years before moving on to the Girls’
Varsity Head Coaching position in 1985. After five years as the girls’
head coach he stepped down for family obligations.
After completing his
class D license he returned to coaching at Scarborough as the
Boys’ Junior Varsity Coach for three years. He then returned to the
girls’ program as an Assistant to Coach Heather Labbe as the Junior
Varsity Coach, where he helped them win two State titles in three State
final appearances. He then took over the Head Coach position for a year
when Coach Labbe was out for personal reasons. As Scarborough made the
move up to the Class A ranks, Coach Coulston took the Red Storm to the
Western Maine finals in their first year of Class A competition.

Mark has been a volunteer
goalkeeping coach for both the girls and boys programs at Scarborough
High School, along with conducting many goalkeeping clinics for the
Scarborough Soccer Club. He is a former Coaching Director for the Club,
and a former Board member of Soccer Maine. Mark was also voted to
receive the first Great Person Award of Scarborough.
Coach Coulston was the goalkeeper at
Scarborough High School under Coach Dick Plummer where he helped his
team win the school’s first ever Class A soccer championship in 1973.
In college he tended the net for Maine Maritime Academy where he was
voted his team’s MVP his sophomore year and elected Captain his junior
year.
Mark resides in Scarborough with his
wife, Theresa. He has three grown children: Justin, Jared and Jaymie.
Jaymie is a goalkeeper for the University of Maine Black Bear Women’s
Soccer team.

Carl
Holmquist

Carl hold a National USSF
Class D license and played his varsity soccer at the University of
Southern Maine.
He is from Gray Maine
and has been involved in the local recreation programs coaching
kids in soccer, baseball, basketball and cross-country skiing. He
presently serves as the president of the Gray Community Endowment and is
a director in the Gray Parks and Recreation. His soccer coaching
background goes back to 1982-1984 at which he was a head counselor at
the annual summer camps held at the University of Southern Maine. |
Most recently he has
coached a U11 boys team for the past two years for the Patriot Soccer Club in the fall
league.
Carl’s soccer
highlights include scoring a hat trick is
junior year in high school. Playing for the first Olympic Development
team that was organized in the state of Maine and competing in Long
Island NY. Playing four years as a varsity starter at USM and leading
the team as a Co-Captain his Junior and Senior years.
Carl received a B.A.
in Business Administration from USM and presently works in financial
services in Portland. He lives with his wife, son and daughter in Gray.
Carl’s philosophy in
sports is to play with passion as he still does on the turf, ice and
snow in the various sports he still plays.

John Skelton

John earned the top United States Soccer Federation "A" license in
1997 and the USSF National Youth Soccer Coaching License in 1999.
Residing at the foothills of the White Mountains in Conway, NH, John has
been a founding member, President, Treasurer and Coaching Director of
Mount Washington Valley Soccer Club. He has worked on Maine, New
Hampshire and Region One ODP Coaching staffs, and has been a trainer,
head coach, assistant coach, and goalkeeper training specialist with a
variety of Premier Soccer Clubs, including past Maine State Cup
champions. He is the all-time career soccer coaching victories leader
in Kennett (Conway, NH) High School history.

He has been men's soccer head coach at
University of Southern Maine (1996-98) and both men's soccer and
alpine skiing at New England College (1999-2000). He worked with NCAA
women's Division III final four teams at Plymouth State as an
assistant in the mid-1990s.
John is founder and Director of American
Futures Soccer School, offering summer and vacation soccer camps and
clinics. He is an educator and writer. His wife, Jody, is
CEO/Director of Carroll County YMCA/Camp Huckins. Son Jamie plays
soccer for Springfield College and Michael, 17, and Rebecca, 14, are
avid Club and school soccer players. John received a Master of
Education degree from Plymouth State University in 1994.
John was an NSCAA Regional All-American
forward at Lexington (MA) HS and a starting defender at Dartmouth
College, NCAA Division I tournament participants in 1977 and 1978.
