MAINE METRO GIRLS WIN U-12 DIVISION AT HOWARDS SPORTS!

Congratulations to the Maine Metro U-12 Girls (Maine Metro North), on winning the U-12 girls division as Howard Sports on Saturday March 17th. Maine Metro North playing with no subs (due to recent injuries), played back-to-back games against Maine Metro South in the semi finals and then against Royal River in the finals.  Maine Metro North dominated the game with a much improved passing attack to seal the win against a Royal River team that came to play. Our girls looked very confident and their passing game was exceptional. Both Maine Metro girls teams played extremely well.   Compliments to coach Keith Lehigh and Mike Brown for a great job with our Metro Girls.

Second Session Tournament Results:

U-12 Girls - (Maine Metro North) Champions! (1-0) in the finals vs. Royal River
U-12 Girls (Maine Metro South) lost to Maine Metro North on penalty kicks
U-12 Boys - lost to Coastal in the finals on penalty kicks
U-13 Boys (Maine Metro East) - lost in the U-14 boys finals against Saco Storm 2-0
U-13 Boys (Maine Metro West) - lost to Casco Bay U-14 (1-0)

Overall great showing by all Maine Metro teams in the second session and playoffs held over the last two weekends.  Thanks coaches for a job well done.  We look forward to another exciting session just underway at Howards Sports in Saco and Topsham.
